Stop cuts to Universal Credit for disabled people aged 16 - 21

The government is proposing to stop health payments (currently the LCWRA element) to young adults on Universal Credit until they turn 22.

For many households this will mean a drop by £630 per month when a disabled young person transitions to claiming Universial Credit as an adult. A drop of this magnitude would have a devastating impact not only on disabled young people but also on their parent carers, who will often be left to deal with the consequences of such a huge drop in financial support.

We must stop this. Please email your local MP.
