Invite your MP to stand up for disabled children

Too many disabled children and young people are missing out on health support written into their education, health and care plan (EHCP), including speech and language therapy and occupational therapy.
When health services do not deliver this support, children go without, schools try to fill the gaps, and councils may have to pay for costly private provision.

On Thursday 3 September, Contact will join parent carers and other members of the Disabled Children’s Partnership at an event in parliament hosted by Jen Craft MP. We will be asking MPs to support stronger accountability for health services.

The event comes as Jen Craft MP has tabled an amendment to the Health Bill intended to make Integrated Care Boards more accountable for arranging the provision they are responsible for within children and young people’s EHCPs.

Will you invite your MP to come and meet families and charities working to end this gap in support?

It takes just a minute using our template letter. Enter your details below and we will help you send an invitation to your MP.
